Our prosthetists have received professional accreditation from the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics (ABC) and are members of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP) national and Texas chapters.
Ted Muilenburg, CP, LP, FAAOP
Ted is the president of Muilenburg Prosthetics Inc. He has 43 years of experience in the fabrication, design, and fitting of every kind of prosthesis and is certified to fit all myoelectric arm, ankle, and knee components and microprocessor ankle and knee components. Ted received his certificate in prosthetics from Northwestern University and was certified in prosthetics by the American Board for Certification in Prosthetics, Orthotics & Pedorthics in 1979. Ted is a prosthetic consultant for the TIRR Memorial Hermann Lower Limb Clinic and the Limb Deficiency Clinic at Shriners Hospital and has lectured in the therapy programs at Texas Woman’s University and the University of Texas Medical Branch. He is a former president of the Texas Chapter of the American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists. Ted is married to Sally and has two adult children, Missy and Max. He enjoys outdoor activities including boating, fishing, waterskiing, and hunting.

Amy Rosetta Warren, CPO, LPO
Amy Rosetta Warren, CPO, LPO, has more than 10 years experience in both prosthetics and orthotics. Before joining Muilenburg Prosthetics Inc. in 2012, she worked in Wichita, Kan., where she specialized in fitting cranial helmets on pediatric patients and the Walk-Aide® system for patients with foot drop. Amy received a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical engineering from St. Louis University, St. Louis, Mo. After spending a summer interning as a prosthetic technician, making test sockets and becoming familiar with CAD/CAM technology, she shifted her career track so she could work with patients. She completed the orthotics certification program at Northwestern University’s Prosthetics-Orthotics Center, Chicago, and received her prosthetics certification from the Newington Certificate Program in Orthotics & Prosthetics, Newington, Conn. Amy was raised in Topeka, Kan., and now resides in Houston. She enjoys reading, visiting wineries, watching horseracing, and cheering on the Kansas Jayhawk’s basketball team.

Doug Wacker, CPO, LPO
Doug brings more than 40 years of experience to Muilenburg Prosthetics. In addition to all levels of prosthetics, Doug is a specialist in pediatric orthotics. Prior to joining the practice, Doug worked for the Texas Medical Center providing orthotics and prosthetics for 27 years and traveled to the Lower Rio Grande Valley for 20 years to pediatric orthotic and prosthetic clinics. He also worked with hospitals from Brownsville to McAllen and Laredo, and eventually opened his own practice in Harlingen. He and his wife, Ruth, moved to Alaska in 2012 for a brief time, but missed their Texas roots and returned home. ABC-certified and licensed by the Texas Board of Orthotists and Prosthetists, Doug also served for 10 years on the board of the Texas Chapter of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists. He is a graduate of the Northwestern University Medical Center Prosthetics-Orthotics program, Chicago, receiving his certificate in orthotics in 1986 and prosthetics in 1991. Doug’s hobbies include hunting and fishing.
